This project honors my incredible friend, Laura, whose love for reading and travel dreams were tragically cut short. Inspired by her spirit, we embark on a journey to share stories in a unique way. We travel the world, leaving beloved books in airports, train stations and public spaces for others to discover and enjoy.

Laura was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend—a person whose presence filled the room with warmth, kindness, and an open heart. She had a deep love for reading and an adventurous spirit that carried dreams of traveling the world. From the peaceful moments spent with a cup of Starbucks London Fog to long drives along the North Shore of Minnesota to Grand Marais, Laura cherished the beauty of both simple pleasures and grand explorations.
Her ability to accept others for exactly who they were made her a cherished friend to many. Laura never sought to change anyone; she simply embraced them, creating space for people to be themselves. Her authenticity, generosity, and zest for life left an unforgettable mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Though Laura is deeply missed, her spirit lives on in everything she loved—especially in the idea behind Books That Travel. This project is a tribute to her, inspired by her love of books, her dream of global adventures, and the connections she created simply by being herself. Through this project, we aim to share her spirit with the world, leaving behind books that continue to inspire, connect, and touch lives just as Laura did.
